South West Region
This weekend saw two SWSCP races take place. On Saturday the SWSCP Road Race No,2 took place around the Glencaple circuit and resulted in a win for junior rider Peter Hale. Full Result Here. On Sunday it was the SWSCP MTB XC No. 3 at Mabie Forest with a Junior rider also winning the main event, this time it was local boy Ross Green. Full Result Here. Annan Youth CC also put a firmer grip on their lead in the team competition with fine wins by many of their riders. Visit the series standings page for the latest standings.
Some super fast lap times were recorded in the SWSCP MTB XC No.2 event at Mabie Forest on Saturday. Full Result here. Round 3 of the SWSCP race series takes place this Saturday 28th April. It will be the second mountain bike XC event of the series and again will be at Mabie Forest, near Dumfries. Full details of the race can be found HERE. The day should also provide Annan Youth CC with a chance to increase their lead in the team competition, although with the Stewartry Wheelers closing in on them in the road race at Loch Ken and also being a strong mountain bike club, it should prove a close day for the series standings.
